Candle Burn Guidelines
The first burn is especially important. Letting the candle burn long enough for the entire surface to become liquid helps avoid tunnelling, where the wax melts unevenly down the center, leaving unmelted wax around the edges. This process establishes a "candle memory," ensuring that future burns are even and efficient. Limit burning time to a maximum of 4 hours to ensure the longevity of your candle. This helps maintain the candle well, preventing the wick from becoming too long and the wax from overheating. Both of which can reduce the candle's lifespan and quality. By following these guidelines, you can enjoy your candles to its fullest potential.
Ventilation
When enjoying your Tiara Haven candle, it's important to balance ventilation by maintaining a steady flame. Adequate ventilation ensures that any smoke or scent doesn't become overwhelming, while also providing a safe environment. To optimise your candle experience, choose a stable, draft-free location that allows for gentle air circulation, ensuring both safety and the best possible diffusion of the candle's fragrance.
Extinguishing the Candle
Avoid blowing out your candle. Instead, use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame. This method helps keep the wick centered, minimises wax splashing, and reduces smoke.
Candle Storage
To ensure your candle remains in best condition, it’s important to store it properly. Keep your candle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, ideally maintaining a temperature between 15°C and 26°C. This prevents the wax from melting or becoming misshapen. When not in use, cover it with the Tiara Haven lid to protect it from dust and preserve its fragrance.
Wick Maintenance
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to about 5mm to remove any burnt tips, which can help prevent excessive soot and smoke. You'll notice that soy wax candles may occasionally form a small flower-like shape on the surface as they cool, this is normal and does not affect the candle's performance. Never burn your candle all the way down; always leave about 5mm of wax in the bottom for safety.
Candle Safety
Keep candles away from children, pets, curtains, and blinds, and never move a burning candle. Always keep your candle within sight and avoid leaving it unattended or near flammable materials.
Scent Blending
For a captivating aromatic experience, burn your candle alone or mix it with other Tiara Haven candles to create a delightful blend of scents.
